Rue Saint Honoré, in the 1st area of Paris, is a "chic" place to shop. You've got expensive couturiers and more moderate designer boutiques. That's also where you'll find the trendy Colette (at n°213), a design emporium of clothing, art objects and electronics, with a photo gallery, a bookshop and an exhibition space. You can carry on walking toward the 8th area (with the Palais Royal in you back) where the street changes into Rue du Faubourg Saint Honoré. This long but interesting street crosses the 8th area (you'll pass the Palais de l'Elysée, where the French President lives), leading directly to the 17th area in the Avenue des Ternes... Shop' til you drop!
